REMOTE ASSISTANCE · CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Connect with CTI over Google Remote Desktop.

A CTI technician will guide you through a secure, one-time screen-sharing session. Call us first so we can help you through each step. Remote support fees may apply; ask the technician about any charges before the session begins.

FOR THE CUSTOMER · NO GOOGLE ACCOUNT NEEDED

Share a one-time support code.

You do not need a Google account. CTI uses its Google account to connect after you approve the session. Use a computer with internet access; Chrome is recommended.

  1. Call CTI: (716) 844-6953. Tell us you need remote help and stay on the phone with the technician. Only continue when you initiated the request and are expecting CTI’s assistance.
  2. Open Google’s support page: Select the button above, or type remotedesktop.google.com/support in your browser’s address bar.
  3. Install the helper if asked: In “Get Support,” choose “Download” and follow the prompts to install Chrome Remote Desktop. Return to the support page when it finishes.
  4. Create a code: Under “Get Support,” select “Generate Code.” If Google asks you to sign in or the steps look different, pause and call CTI; we can guide you or arrange another way to help.
  5. Give the code to CTI: Read the one-time code to the technician you are speaking with. Generate a new code if it expires or no longer works.
  6. Approve CTI: Google will show the connecting technician’s email address. Confirm it with the technician, then select “Share” to allow the connection. The technician can access your screen, apps, and files while connected.
  7. End the session: Select “Stop Sharing” when help is finished. You can stop sharing at any time. Google may ask you to approve continued sharing every 30 minutes.
